Welcome to Joy in the Simple Things

Welcome to Joy in the Simple Things I’m Angela, and this is my little corner for noticing the small things that make life feel lighter — clouds, sunbeams, tiny tech tips, simple life tips, creative projects, and everyday moments worth remembering.”

The reason I started this blog is because I retired in the beginning of this year. And one day I was washing clothes, I then put them in the dryer, and folded and hung up the clothes and all this happened in one day! LOL! I felt joy in getting something done all in one day, rather than the usual laundry schedule when I was working and just trying to get through each day.

At first it didn't even seem real, that I wasn't working, but wasn't looking for a job.

And AI was just beginning to become around the main stream, so I dove in. I've been working on computers for over 35 years. So I had a lot of computer experience, but a lot had changed recently. Since I was working, I didn't have time to learn changes in technology. So, I was able to start learning about AI. And WOW, what a game/life change!

I have a lot of interests that I like to do, such as photography, craft projects making Epoxy items, making jewelry, cooking, baking and candy making. The photography I do is Clouds, sceneries, nature, landmarks, water towers, historical places and murals. SOmetimes my husband gets tired of me taking so many pictures. But he's generally pretty supportive. I tell people I'm OCD, meaning I have Obsessive Cloud Disorder. I have thousands of cloud pictures. Oh, and I'm also going to start a business doing Print on Demand.

I've had people comment, you'll probably be bored and get a part-time job after 6 months of being retired. I said, "Heck no! I have a life! I finally have the time to do the things I want to do.

This is what i want to do: Cloud photos, simple-joy stories, Tiny Tech Tips, Tiny Life Tips, creative projects, and encouragement. It's a big changing world out there, but don't give up. Keep growing, keep going and you got this!

Step 2: Save it as a draft first

Look for Save, Preview, or Publish. I’d save/preview before publishing.

Step 3: After the post is done, click Set up your site’s SEO

That bottom task says Set up your site’s SEO. Wix will probably guide you through basics like site name, keywords, and Google search info.

For SEO, use simple wording like:

Site name: Joy in the Simple ThingsMain topic: Simple joy, everyday encouragement, photography, tech tips, life tips, and creative projectsKeywords: simple joy blog, tiny tech tips, tiny life tips, cloud photography, everyday encouragement, creative retirement blog

Your next best click is the blue Create Blog Post button. Don’t wander into the left menu yet — that’s how Wix turns into a rabbit hole. Stay on this checklist until those last two items are done.
